POLSON — Josh Skunkcap scored 14 points, and Shayde St. Goddard had the go-ahead bucket in overtime as Browning beat Polson 70-68 in a wild Northwest A boys basketball game Saturday.
Four players reached double figures for the Indians (9-4 overall, 6-1 in Northwest A games), who saw Polson surge from a 59-53 deficit to lead 64-60 on Ama Old Shoes’ basketb with 50 seconds left in regulation.
Browning then scored five straight points to lead 65-64, but a foul put Malakai Curley at the line with 3 seconds left, and he hit one of two free throws to force the OT.
The line was unkind to the Pirates (5-7, 2-4 in league); they missed 16 of 36 free throws. Curley had 25 points, nine coming in the fourth quarter. He hit three 3-pointers on the night.
Royce Mad Plume had an OT basket and finished with 12 points for Browning.
