OTHELLO — The Othello Police Department announced the arrest of Gregorio Orozco Jr. on Friday for an outstanding warrant out of Benton County for violating the conditions of his alternative drug offender sentencing, under the Drug Offender Sentencing Alternative program.
The announcement indicated that the underlying situation was the result of a vehicular assault case.
U.S. Marshals from the Eastern Washington Fugitive Task Force had found information that Orozco was possibly in the Othello area. Othello PD officers investigated and subsequently conducted the arrest.
“This arrest highlights the critical value of interagency cooperation. When local, county, and federal partners work together, offenders are held accountable and community safety is strengthened,” the Othello PD statement said.
