This week's Athlete of the Week is Andrew Aexel, a rising senior at Sandpoint High, playing for the Sandpoint Sasquatch 17U.
Aexel was a mainstay in the Sasquatch lineup during their trip to the Big Bucks Tournament in Libby last weekend, knocking in two RBIs and being scored twice in four games. In addition to his hitting, Aexel pitched an absolute gem in the third game of the tournament, holding the Flathead A's 17U scoreless for the entire game, allowing just four hits and striking out six batters. His excellence on the mound propelled Sandpoint to a 2-2 effort at the tournament.
