Timothy Forrest Crowder, 83

Timothy Forrest Crowder, 83, was born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on Aug. 14, 1942, and passed away Dec. 28, 2025, in Lake Elsinore, Calif. He was the fourth child of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Crowder. Tim and his siblings, Frank, Pat and Twila, grew up in the Coeur d'Alene area.
Tim graduated from the Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy with the Class of 1960. After graduating from high school, Tim attended North Idaho College, where he met Eileen Rubow. Tim and Eileen were married Feb. 1, 1964, and were married for 61 years. Tim graduated from the University of Idaho, earning a degree in Civil Engineering. He and Eileen moved to Los Angeles, Calif., where Tim worked for the city of Los Angeles Transportation Department for 34 years. During his years with the city of Los Angeles, he received a Career Service Award for his contributions.
After he retired, Tim enjoyed belonging to two Ham Radio Clubs (GTARC and MVARC) near Lake Elsinore, where he was an active participant. He was also an avid reader and book collector, volunteering at the public library during its annual book sales. He also volunteered with the city of Lake Elsinore's Citizen Corps when it was active.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his wife, Eileen, son Pat and extended family members.
Tim was a loved husband, father and brother-in-law; a very kind, funny and generous man. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, care and benevolence that touched many lives.
He is deeply missed.
There will be a graveside service held July 10, 2026, at noon at the St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
