Twins split against Missoula Mavs

MISSOULA — Tristan Libby and Kieran RK drove in two runs each as Glacier rolled past Missoula for a 12-2 win in game two to salvage a doubleheader split with the Mavericks Friday evening.

In game one, the Mavericks (9-9) used an eighth inning walk-off sacrifice fly to take a 7-6 decision.  

A walk and two stolen bases set up the winning fly out from Tor Cooper. 

Glacier (4-12) capitalized on a pair of two run singles in the fourth from Treyson Murphy and Trenton Derosa to take a 4-1 lead. 

The Twins extended the lead in the next inning with another two-run single from Murphy. 

Missoula responded in the sixth as Alex Darnell hit a two-run double to spark a four-run inning. 

Then in the seventh, Missoula tied the game on a wild pitch, sending it to the extra inning. 

The Twins offense fired up early and often in game two. Two RBI singles — one each from RK and Derek Juntenen — powered a five-run second that put Glacier ahead 5-0.
