The Washington State CDBG Program receives approximately $11 million annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform residents of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from lower income residents south of Government Road near Brian Ave S. and 2nd Street.
