BONNERS FERRY — A new era of wrestling is set to begin at Bonners Ferry High School as Brandon Regehr is taking over as head coach, according to an announcement on social media.
Regehr has been serving as head coach for the Bonners Ferry Middle School program for the last several years and plans to continue building up the sport in the city. Regehr has been involved in the wrestling scene in Bonners Ferry for the past 12 years and has experience with the Idaho National Dual Team coaching staff.
Regehr has also been training his son, Dalton Regehr, as a youth wrestler to great success. This past year, the young Regehr qualified to represent the Bonners Ferry Wrestling Club with Team Idaho at the Heartland Duals in Iowa.
"I hope I can live up to half of the expectations that everybody has in me," Regehr wrote in a comment replying to the announcement. "I am really looking forward to working with everyone and the kids this coming season. Thanks again, everyone!"
