Gary W. Thomas, 65

Gary Wayne Thomas, 65, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away unexpectedly June 14, 2026, in his home.

Gary was born in Grand Forks, N.D., to Gary Lee Thomas and Louisette Thomas on May 24, 1961. He attended Post Falls High School and went on to earn a certificate in Autobody and Paint from North Idaho College. Gary worked as a restaurant manager for over 30 years. Few things brought him more joy than classic cars, a good meal and watching a game on TV. Above all, he was a devoted father/papa who cherished time with his family. He will be remembered for his love, laughter and the countless memories he created with those he loved.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Jamie (Daniel) Grunzweig; son Trevor (Taylor) Thomas; granddaughters Kaylee Grunzweig and Hallie Thomas; mother Louisette Thomas; brothers Glenn (Kathy) Thomas, Robert Thomas and Bill Thomas; sisters Evelynn (Greg) Schwenk and Charlotte Thomas. He is preceded in death by his son, Gary Mikel Thomas, and his father, Gary Lee Thomas. 

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 1 at 4:30 p.m. at 2823 E. Harrison Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.
