A Ronan man who pled guilty to sexual assault was sentenced in Polson District Court on June 24 to 10 years in the Montana State Prison, with six years suspended, for assaulting four minors.
Glenn Alan Jorgenson, 69, pled guilty to the charge in a plea agreement reached on Nov. 19, 2025, but Judge Molly Owen rejected that agreement as too lenient. It had called for 10 years in Montana State Prison with all that time suspended.
The plea agreement also dismisses three other counts of sexual abuse.
Prosecutor Lori Adams with the Lake County Attorney’s Office explained during an earlier hearing that the mother of the victims was on board with the plea agreement, as it accomplished three things. These include Jorgenson taking responsibility by admitting to assaulting all four minors and receiving treatment. The agreement also meant her children would not have to relive the details by having to testify at trial.
Adams also explained that the children have been through enough hardship as they recently lost their father after their parents’ recent divorce.
According to court records, the incidents that led to the charges occurred between June 18, 2024, and July 18, 2024. At the time, the four alleged victims were all under the age of 14.
