Patriotic Pilates in Hope today

HOPE — Before the festivities of America’s birthday commence, one local community member is inviting the community to stretch and relax to prepare for the big America 250 celebration.
On July 3, Hope resident June Fogerty is hosting a patriotic Pilates class at Ascent Mountain Fitness in Hope from 9 to 10 a.m.
“We’re celebrating with red, white, and blue attire, patriotic songs, and a focus on our ability to stretch, walk, dance, and live freely,” Fogerty said.
Free for first-time attendees, Fogerty said the class is an opportunity to celebrate the country and embrace freedom, while also practicing strengthening body movements.
A lifelong Hope resident, Fogerty started teaching Pilates in 2024, after her retirement as an occupational therapist. She said starting the Pilates class was a way to continue to give back to the community and help people live more independently, similar to her work as a therapist.
