Lakeside Companies recently announced the acquisition of The Highlands Golf Course in Post Falls.
The Highlands acquisition is the latest investment by Lakeside in the local community, and the transaction reflects Lakeside's confidence in the future of The Highlands, a press release said.
"The Highlands is a course that people genuinely love and that loyalty speaks for itself," said David Weeks, CEO of Lakeside Companies. "We are excited to be the next owners, and our focus right now is on a smooth, stable transition.”
Daily operations at The Highlands will continue without interruption with the existing on-site team remaining in place.
"In the months ahead Lakeside will engage with members, guests, staff, and the community to better understand opportunities to bring fresh energy and resources to the course as the new long-term owner and operator," the release said.
Built in 1990 and known for its scenic layout and relaxed atmosphere, The Highlands will continue to welcome golfers of all skill levels. The course features a large pitching green, expansive putting green and grass tee driving range offering nearly 400 yards of hitting length in addition to the 18-hole course.
