Bjornar “BJ” Sollie passed away on June 30 at the age of 79.
He was born in Askim, Norway, on March 31, 1947, to Roald and Martha Sollie. He grew up there, and on a trip to Philadelphia, he met his wife Patty Walker of Somers. They were married in Norway on Feb. 27, 1971, and lived there for 10 years before moving to Lakeside, where he worked with his father-in-law Bob Walker in the woods and sawmill. They had three children Robert, Inga and Anna Marie (Mia).
He is survived by his wife Patty and three children, Robert and Eric, Inga and Teag, and Mia and Freddy; and grandchildren Gavin, Brynn, Kohen, Bridger, Beth, Wylie and Madalin.
No services will be held. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home is caring for the family.
