Law roundup: Unsecured tote becomes bypass hazard
Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 1 day, 8 hours AGO
A large tote reportedly fell off the back of a black pickup on the bypass, where it was hit by another truck and dragged along the road. The driver of another vehicle told the Kalispell Police Department they swerved and avoided the road hazard. The tote was removed.
Coffee stand employees reportedly gave a tall, bearded man a free coffee to a man who didn’t have money, but it wasn’t enough, and he begged for more things and stared at employees, who became uncomfortable with the situation and called the police. Officers provided him with information on organizations that would get him a free bus ticket back to Alabama.
A man who allegedly had three warrants took off running from officers. He was taken to jail.
A man driving a teal Mazda was reportedly so drunk that he could barely walk.
A man reportedly followed a woman and her daughters around a store for about 20 minutes. When they split up at two ends of an aisle, he started talking to her daughters, so she walked up to him and he “somehow knew” what gym she used to go to, which she found suspicious and called the police.
A man kicked his dog.
Officers instructed two people about the city’s panhandling ordinances.
