SANDPOINT — On Saturday, July 18, community members are invited to experience a one-of-a-kind event where art, gardens, and generosity come together to support the Bonner Community Food Bank.
Local artists Robens Napolitan and Tom Kramer will open their showcase garden at 508 Forest Ave. in Sandpoint from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a special art sale and food drive benefiting the Bonner Community Food Bank.
The event features a collection of original artwork offered at highly accessible prices, with most pieces ranging from $1 to $50. In a remarkable act of generosity, 100% of the proceeds from the art sale will be donated to the Bonner Community Food Bank.
For Robens Napolitan, the event is about more than selling artwork. After a lifetime of creating, she hopes to place her pieces into homes throughout the community while supporting local families experiencing food insecurity.
"This is a beautiful example of neighbors helping neighbors," said Debbie Love, Bonner Community Food Bank staff member. "Robens and Tom have created a creative and welcoming way for people to engage with local art, enjoy an incredible garden space, and make a meaningful impact for families in our community."
Visitors are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations for the food drive. Every donation and every purchase will help the food bank continue serving thousands of Bonner County residents each year.
Guests may pay by cash, check, or credit card, and all proceeds from art sales will directly benefit the Bonner Community Food Bank.
The Bonner Community Food Bank serves residents throughout Bonner County by providing supplemental food assistance, grocery rescue programs, and partnerships that increase access to nutritious food for local families, seniors, and children.
