One hundred participants completed the annual Whitefish Lake triathlon on June 27.
The classic sprint triathlon features a 0.8-kilometer swim lap starting at City Beach, a 20K out and back bike ride along Wisconsin Avenue and East Lakeshore Drive, and a two lap 5K run loop around City Beach.
Whitefish locals and repeat champs Ryan Seguine and Scarlet Kaplan won the event in 1 hour, 5 minutes, 47.8 seconds and 1:08:02.3, respectively.
Rounding out the top five was 15-year-old Porter Shehan in 1:11:23.0.
Seguine had the fastest cycling split, Kaplan had the fastest swim split, and Shehan had the fastest run split.
“The energy down at the beach and out on the course was second to none, and we couldn't be prouder of the community that showed up today,” said Price Richardson, race director.
