On June 24, 20 bowlers from Creston, British Columbia, in Canada, and Bonners Ferry, Idaho, met at Romano’s Runaway Lanes in Creston for the Creston Bowling Challenge.
Most of the Idaho bowlers had not participated in five-pin bowling, which is the style Canadians use, so it made for a challenging day.
When all was said and done, the team of Bill Dreyko (99 years old), representing Canada, and Lil Jimenez (92 years old) representing the United States had high score and showed the other bowlers a thing or two about the sport.
"They also proved that age does not matter, just keep moving," organizer said.
This has been an annual event for the past few years. A fun time was had by all and organizers thanked Romano’s for hosting this event.
