Summer highway projects slated near Ravalli and Polson
Lake County Leader | UPDATED 1 hour, 19 minutes AGO
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), along with construction partner Riverside Contracting, Inc., will resurface Hwy. 93 south of Ravalli from July 9-15, weather and other unforeseen factors permitting.
The project extends from north of White Coyote Road, at mile marker 20, to Holt Street, mile marker 26.7, and is part of a construction project that began during the fall of 2025.
Crews will be working weekdays from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Work includes a rut fill, micro surfacing and applying new pavement markings.
According to a press release from MDT, these improvements will create a smoother driving surface and extend the service life of the roadway. When traveling through the project corridor, motorists should expect single-lane traffic, traffic signals, pilot cars and delays up to one hour.
Also in Lake County: MDT is re-striping U.S. 93 from the intersection of Caffrey Road to north of Regatta Road.
Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures and slow-moving equipment during active work and should plan to follow all posted signage, watch for workers, and avoid driving on freshly striped lines.
