Members of the public can share their thoughts about the future of Montana State University at listening sessions to be held across the state this summer, including in Kalispell.

The feedback will help the university craft its new strategic plan, which will guide the academic institution's focuses, operations and impacts for years to come. A planning team has been gathering feedback from campus stakeholders, including students, faculty and staff, since the spring.

The team is currently gathering public feedback in preparation for drafting the final strategic plan in October. On Nov. 19, they expect to present the strategic plan to the Montana Board of Regents.

Key questions that MSU is looking to answer are: What can the university do better and how can it more firmly root itself and serve Montana? They area also asking participants to share their big ideas for the institution's future and their most brilliant Bobcat moment or impression.

The Kalispell listening session will be held at the Flathead County Library at 247 First Ave. in Kalispell at 9 a.m., July 29. Other sessions will be held in Great Falls, Helena, Butte and Bozeman.

For those unable to attend, an online survey is available. More information is available at montana.edu/strategicplan/.
