Grand Slam stuns Range Riders late

The Glacier Range Riders were three outs away from a win Saturday night before the Ogden Raptors flipped the game with one swing.
Dylan Wilkinson crushed a go-ahead grand slam in the ninth inning as Ogden rallied for a 5-4 victory in Pioneer League baseball at Glacier Bank Park, dropping Glacier to 29-18. The Raptors improved to 28-19.
Glacier built its lead one run at a time after Ogden scored first in the third. Brock Vradenburg tied the game with an RBI single in the fourth before Donovan Ratfield followed with a run-scoring single later in the inning to give the Range Riders a 2-1 advantage.
Tommy Rover added an RBI single in the sixth, and Logan Beard drove home an insurance run with a single in the eighth to stretch the lead to 4-1.
The ninth inning unraveled quickly.
Sebastian Greico led off with a double before Colson Lawrence and Cole Jordan worked back-to-back walks to load the bases with one out. Wilkinson then hammered the first pitch he saw over the right-field wall, turning a three-run deficit into a one-run Ogden lead.
Glacier threatened in the bottom half. Carson Garner opened the inning with a double, and Ratfield drew a walk to put the tying run on base. But Vradenburg popped out, J.D. McLaughlin struck out looking and Rover flew out to center, ending the comeback bid.
The six-game series concludes on Sunday at 1:05 p.m.
