Juanita Doty, 87

Juanita "Nita" Doty, 87, of Kalispell, passed away in the early hours of July 3. She was born June 17, 1939, to Donald and Ester McAtee. Nita was raised in the Flathead Valley and married Gene Doty of Kalispell, February 12, 1956.

Nita spent most of her years as a homemaker, devoting her life to her husband and their five children. She was also involved in the PTA, Cub Scouts of America, and the Women's Auxiliary for the Kalispell Fire Department. Nita worked at a neighborhood daycare, elections, and later at her daughter-in-law's boutique. She enjoyed various hobbies such as baking, sewing, bowling, gardening, genealogy, and arts and crafts. Nita spent her summers at Echo Lake with family and friends.

Nita was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, daughter Linda Freyholtz, and her loving husband of 65 years. She is survived by her son Don and his wife B, son-in-law Duane Freyholtz, son Steve and his wife Christy, son Jerry and his wife Pam, and daughter Cheri Doty Timlick. Nita is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home on Monday, July 13 at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Conrad Cemetery.
