LEGION BASEBALL: Prairie swings past Dillon in Lewiston

LEWISTON — Timothy Howard had two hits and three runs scored for the Prairie Cardinals in a 15-1 win over the Dillon (Mont.) Cubs at Harris Field on Saturday. 

Alec Finn, Andrew Olson and Isaiah Kearney also had two RBIs each for Prairie (10-13-1), which had three pitchers combined to limit Dillon to three hits. Kearney also scored three runs in the win. 

Prairie faces the Blues 15U on Friday at Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake, Wash.

MISSOULA, Mont. — Jake Larcher doubled twice and drove in two runs for the Mountaineers in a loss to Gonzaga Prep in the Missoula Mavericks Invitational at Lindborg-Cregg Field. 

Northern Lakes (20-6), now 3-1 in the tournament, will face tournament host Missoula today at 12:30 p.m. PDT, with the championship game scheduled for 4 p.m. 

Grant Rigler had three hits, two for triples and two runs scored for Northern Lakes.
