LIBBY — Clark Reimer's RBI double in the seventh inning lifted the Cranbrook Bandits to an 8-7 victory over the Libby Loggers in the opener of a Legion baseball doubleheader Sunday.
Cranbrook followed with an 11-5 win in the nightcap to complete the sweep.
The Bandits jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the opener, but Libby battled back to take a 6-5 advantage in the second inning. Jordan Griffin sparked the rally with a two-run homer, and the Loggers tied the game again in the sixth before Reimer delivered the go-ahead hit an inning later.
Griffin drove in two runs, while Tanner Wolfe finished with two hits for Libby. Dalton Cannon struck out three over six innings, and Reimer earned the win with 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief.
Libby again rallied in Game 2, taking a 3-2 lead in the third on Wolfe's two-run double. Cranbrook answered with four runs in the fourth and pulled away from there.
Dallin Rodger drove in three runs and earned the win on the mound, while Stellaen Damery collected three hits and Hunter Willard added two for the Bandits.
Wolfe went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Bransen Holzer added two hits and stole two bases for the Loggers, who drew eight walks but couldn't slow Cranbrook's 12-hit offense.
