Bonita Fellin Scott, 94, born September 4, 1931, to Gene and Zilda Fellin in Wallace, Idaho. Bonita left behind a legacy of love departing on June 12 in Kalispell.

Bonita was preceded in death by parents Gene and Zilda Fellin, devoted husband Charles Edwin Scott, Bonnie (Scott) Seawell, and Robert Scott.

In March 1951, Charles and Bonita were married in Wallace. The couple resided in Idaho, Colorado, then settling in Kalispell in 1959.

Bonita’s career as a paralegal was marked by professionalism and dedication, earning her respect by many of her colleagues. Beyond her career she found joy in life‘s simple pleasures, such as gardening, reading, taking walks, birdwatching or visiting with family, friends, and neighbors. She also was very passionate about music, playing the piano from early childhood up until her death.

Other areas of interest would include hiking and camping in Glacier National Park, including her annual birthday swim at Lake McDonald. Bonita and Charles also developed a deep appreciation for skiing; both were ski instructors at Big Mountain Ski Area.

Bonita’s legacy continues in the gardens she tended, the music she shared, and memories created with loved ones. Her love of nature, wildlife and music will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial celebration to be held where her love story with Charles began at Lookout Ski Area Saturday, July 18 at 12:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, plant flower seeds where Bonita will be remembered or consider making a donation to the National Wildlife Foundation in her honor.
