SANDPOINT — Pend d'Oreille Winery has been honored by the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce as its Business of the Month for July.

Founded in 1995, the Pend d’ Oreille Winery has been integrated into the Sandpoint community for 31 years.  Jim Bopp and Kylie Presta purchased the Pend d’ Oreille Winery in 2017 and continue to produce quality wine while providing a space for the community to gather around art, music, food, and, of course, wine, chamber officials said in announcing the winery's selection.

"They proudly support the region through meaningful community involvement and connection," chamber officials said.

Chamber officials said the winery was selected for the honor because of its dedication to the community, including its donations to local fundraisers and participating in events such as the Summer Sampler, Festival of Sandpoint, and Winter Carnival, to name a few.

"Pend d’ Oreille Winery holds gratitude for community support and attempts to reciprocate by supporting local fundraisers, athletic events, non-profits, local artists, and local musicians," winery officials said.

Each month a new artist is invited to show at the winery.  Each week, local pianists and musicians fill the winery with talent.  Bopp and Presta said they recognize the value of reaching our youth and provides the opportunity for students to gain confidence, professional skills, and communication skills as winery employees.

"The intention of the winery is to be involved in ways that strengthen, improve, and connect our community," the pair said.
