The Event at Rebecca Farm marks its 25th year with competitors traveling from throughout North America to compete. Presented by nonprofit Montana Equestrian Events, Inc., The Event runs Wednesday, July 15 through Sunday, July 19, in Kalispell.

The Event stages competition in the equestrian sport of Three Day Eventing, which combines dressage, cross-country and stadium jumping phases. Its 14 different levels range from Olympic level, CCI4*-L, to Beginner Novice divisions suitable for amateur and junior equestrians and horses of all ages and breeds.

The Event includes Training and Novice Classic Three-Day divisions that promote the sport’s training foundation with additional phases and related education opportunities.

The wide range of divisions reflects founder Rebecca “Becky” Broussard’s vision to gather all levels of competitors together on one beautiful and expertly prepared stage.

Rebecca Farm provides one of the most beautiful backdrops found in equestrian sport. Cross-country tracks run over much of the Farm’s 640 acres, with obstacles that are famously whimsical in appearance while being solid tests of horsemanship at every level.

“The Event is spoken of as amongst the greatest competitions in the world for the Olympic sport of eventing,” said U.S. Eventing Association CEO Rob Burk. “Its unique reputation is the result of its spectacular venue, and highest-level competition coupled with highest-level hospitality.”

Spectators are welcome at no charge.

“We love and support the sport of Three Day Eventing and the competitors really drive what we do,” says Sarah Broussard, The Event’s organizer and daughter of its founder, Becky Broussard. “Knowing how excited the riders are to be here is what keeps us going.”

“People are wowed and awed at the magnitude of The Event, of the Trade Fair, of the stabling… all of it,” Sarah observes. “People don’t really understand the whole ‘shebang!’ of The Event until they get here.”

The Event’s family feel sets it apart from other international equestrian competitions.

“We are still family owned and operated and I think that family, caring attitude is not found in many places,” Sarah adds.

The Event’s Shopping Fair and Festival are open Thursday through Sunday, with free Kids Zone fun Friday through Sunday and delicious food options all four days.

The Event’s impact extends far beyond the equestrian world with Halt Cancer at X. The charitable initiative was launched in 2012 by Sarah Broussard in honor of her late mother, who was lost to breast cancer in 2010.

Through Halt Cancer at X, Montana Equestrian Events has provided more than $1.1 million in grant funds to innovative breast cancer research projects and to local non-profits that offer financial and wellness services to breast cancer patients.

Funds are raised by year-round donations and an auction during The Event. This year’s auction items include premiere stabling and RV camp sites for The Event in 2027, a Whitefish Mountain winter vacation and a six-day beach stay in Capitola, California,

Volunteers are the heart and soul of The Event at Rebecca Farm, and about 250 are needed every year. Volunteering at The Event is famously fun and no experience is required for most positions.

Donations and bids for auction items can be made at givebutter.com/c/2026HaltCancer/auction. Auction bidding closes Friday, July 17 at 8:30 p.m. during the Competitors Party and donations are welcome all year.
