NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Sandpoint Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing during their meeting on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, which begins at 5:30 p.m. in Council chambers at City Hall, 1123 W. MINUTES FOR THE BONNER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS’ MEETING June 9, 2026 EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT – Approved the 2025 EMPG award, number EMPG25EM0900, from the Idaho Office of Emergency Management for $29,741.33 with a county match of $29,741.33, the total amount of $59,482.66 for Bonner County Emergency Management and have the Chairman sign administratively. Approved FY26 Demands Batch #36, totaling $53,044.44. BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS – Motioned that Human Resources work with Road & Bridges, Sheriff Wheeler, Lt. Newsom to make sure we include the dispatch to address the concerns regarding holiday pay and pay policies and provide a compare/contrast to impacts to the budget as well as policies around our surrounding area and the top five northern counties and present a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners to address a potential inequity in holiday pay for hourly employees required to work on holidays. Allan Songstad and Bonner County pending agreement of compensation rates between the parties. CLERK – Approved payment of FY26 Claims Batch #38, totaling $262,011.59. PUBLIC NOTICE FOR DESTRUCTION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS Attention Parents/Guardians, Former Students, Eligible (Adult) Students: According to school board policy, West Bonner County School District #83 hereby gives notice that special education records are no longer needed to provide educational services to individuals with disabilities who were enrolled in the district as a student for the 2018 school year and have since left the district. The district will destroy these special education records (by shredding them) in 45 days. Destruction of these records is the best protection against improper and unauthorized disclosure. Please be aware that if you have special education records on file with the school district, these records may be needed for social security benefits or for other purposes in the future. If you wish to review the file or keep the file for your own records, please make the request to the Special Services office within 45 calendar days.
