Iowa State men's basketball

The rising senior from Lake City High was one of seven Cyclones named to the NABC Honors Court, which honors junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. The team earned the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, which recognizes programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. Iowa State's seven selections were the most in the Big 12.

Angelyca Chapman

Weber State women's track and field

Chapman, a senior from Lake City High, was named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic list for the 2025-26 academic year. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have participated in at least half of the team's competitions, achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and completed at least one academic term at their current school. 

Josh McCartain

Idaho men's golf

McCartain, a senior transfer from North Idaho College, was named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic list for the 2025-26 academic year. 

Alexander Shields

Northwest Nazarene men's track and field

Shields, a sophomore from Post Falls High, received the Great Northwest Athletic Conference FAR (Faculty Athletic Representative) Scholar Athlete Award, given to those who have complied a GPA of 3.85 or better. Shields, a marketing major, held a 3.91 GPA.
