Kootenai River Days

Kootenai River Days returns July 16-19 with four days of activities throughout Bonners Ferry. Events begin Thursday, July 16, with Chalk the Block from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the Rotary Wine Walk at 5 p.m. 

Friday's schedule includes Chalk the Block from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Crazy Days shopping, a community ice cream social from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and live music by Jam Shack from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.  

On Saturday, July 18, activities include the Bonners Ferry Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Kootenai River Run at 8 a.m., the Birdies for Our Brothers Golf Tournament at 9 a.m., Chalk the Block from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., family activities from 4 to 8 p.m., live music by the Kip McMillan Trio from 4 to 8 p.m., food and beverage vendors from 5 to 9 p.m. and live music by DJ Mark from 8 p.m. to midnight. 

The Bruce Festival

The Bruce Festival returns July 18-19 at the Boundary County Fairgrounds, celebrating Scottish heritage, culture and history. The festival will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. 

This year's event features Highland Games competitions, along with traditional entertainment, demonstrations, vendors and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend. 

Admission is free. 

Paper Flowers: Remembering Fleetwood Mac

Paper Flowers will bring the music of Fleetwood Mac to the Boundary County Fairgrounds on July 18. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 7 p.m. 

Tickets $30 online or $40 at the gate. Tickets are available through the Boundary County Fairgrounds website boundarycountyfairgrounds.com and the Paper Flowers website, paperflowersmusic.com. 

Boundary County Fairgrounds activities

The Boundary County Fairgrounds will host a full day of activities on July 18, beginning with the 4-H Horse Show at 8 a.m. and the Beef Show at 10:30 a.m. Both events are free for spectators. 

The Shed Center Bar opens at 11 a.m., followed by a cornhole tournament at noon. Food vendors including Sweet Creek Eats & Treats, Double D Smoke Pit and Pegasus Drinks will be serving throughout the day. The activities culminate with the Paper Flowers concert. 

Mediocre at Best Improv Comedy Show

The Historic Pearl Theater will host "Mediocre at Best," an improv comedy performance at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 18. The show features unscripted comedy, audience participation and spontaneous performances, promising an evening of laughs and interactive entertainment in the historic downtown venue.
