John O. Streeter, 65

John O. Streeter, 65, a lifelong resident of Wallace, Idaho, passed away July 11, 2026. He was born March 4, 1961, in Wallace to the late Babe and Doris (Smith) Streeter. A devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, John will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
John attended schools in Wallace before beginning a career in the Silver Valley mining industry. He also spent many years working as a skilled carpenter. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, riding ATVs, and playing golf. John treasured spending time with his family and friends and was happiest when surrounded by those he loved. He was also an accomplished woodworker whose creativity and craftsmanship produced many unique and cherished pieces.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Streeter; four brothers: Terry Mitchell, Jimmy Mitchell, Donnie Mitchell and Jake Streeter; his sister, Judy Streeter; and his nephew, Derek Connors.
John is survived by his two sons, Josh (DeeDee) Streeter and Jeremy (Jamie) Streeter; his four daughters, Dana (Scott) Keeling, Nicole Zent, Rachell Zent and Jami (Chris) Carlson; his grandchildren, Landon, Sienna, Madalynn, Makayla, Kaylee, Blake, Preston and Bailey; his two great-grandchildren, Koen and Wrenley; his sister-in-law, Patty Houtchin; his aunt, Fran Solomon; his nephew, Ronnie Gust; his niece, Colleen Hoffer; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and many dear friends.
A celebration of John's life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
