Amateur Arthur leads Rosauers after first day

SPOKANE — Amateur Tyson Arthur of Auburn, Wash., fired a 7-under par 64 to take the lead after the first round of the 39th Rosauers Open Invitational on Friday at Indian Canyon Golf Course. 

PGA professional Conner Robbins of Tacoma, Wash., the 2023 Rosauers champion, 2024 champion Andrew Von Lossow of Indian Canyon and PGA professional Ryan Malby of Kalispell, Mont., are all one stroke back. 

Jess Wingett of The Highlands Golf Club in Post Falls and Billy Bomar of the Bomar Putting Company and former co-owner of Prairie Falls Golf Club in Post Falls are part of a group of 18 players tied for 30th after shooting 1-under 70s. 

Gabe Dorosh and Brandon Drake of CDA National Reserve each shot 73. 

The 54-hole tournament continues today, with a cut after 36 holes, and concludes Sunday.
