Idaho hoops transfer Yearout signs with Lewis-Clark State
LEWISTON — Lewis-Clark State men's basketball coach Austin Johnson announced the addition of former Lapwai High standout and former Idaho Vandal Titus Yearout to the 2026-27 roster.
Yearout, the 2021-22 Gatorade Idaho Player of the Year, spent the last three years at NCAA Division I Idaho after a storied career at Lapwai High School. He finished his time with the Wildcats as Lapwai’s all-time leading scorer with 2,039 points.
“We recruited Titus really hard when he was in high school and are ecstatic that we get to coach him here at LC,” Johnson said. “He had some great moments at Idaho and was a part of their Big Sky Tournament Championship team this past year and got to experience the NCAA Tournament. Titus brings a steady, veteran experience on and off the court which will help make us a better team and program. Titus is very involved in the local community and has a knack for helping get the most out of others and we anticipate that carrying over here to LC.”
Yearout helped Lapwai to back-to-back Idaho state titles and was voted the Idaho 1A Division I Player of the Year, Gatorade Idaho Player of the Year and National Native American Player of the Year during his high school career. He was also named the Idaho 1A DI Player of the Year in football.
At Idaho, Yearout appeared in 44 games and notched four double-digit scoring performances. He redshirted last season, when the Vandals won the Big Sky title and played in the NCAA Tournament.
