In loving memory of Bambi Lynn Rhodes-Spears Rasmussen.

Bambi Lynn Rhodes-Spears Rasmussen, 60, of Kalispell, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on Aug. 9, 1965, in Frayser, Tennessee, to Gerald Rhodes and Anita Stark.

Bambi built a life filled with laughter, stubborn determination and unconditional love. She was the kind of person who could make people smile, speak her mind without hesitation, and never met a challenge she couldn't tackle in her own unique way.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tom Rasmussen; her son, Randy Rhodes-Spears and the lights of her life, her grandchildren, Violet, Lily, and Riot Rhodes-Spears, who brought her endless pride and joy. She is also survived by her siblings, Karen Ann Rieben-Kopchick, James Hans Rieben and "Buddy" Gerald Douglas Rhodes Jr.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Dusty Rhodes-Spears, as well as her mother, Anita Stark and her father, Gerald Rhodes.

When it came to careers, Bambi wore many hats — but everyone who knew her knew she had truly mastered two callings: Pokémon Go and Ditto raids. If there had been a degree in catching shinies, organizing raid groups, or convincing someone to "just do one more raid," she would have graduated with honors. She probably has already checked into Heaven's first PokéStop and is reminding the angels not to forget their daily spins. We can only hope Heaven has unlimited Remote Raid Passes.

More than anything, Bambi will be remembered for the love she had for her family, her quick wit and the memories she created with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Though she will be deeply missed, her laughter, stories, and one-of-a-kind spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved.

A memorial service celebrating Bambi's life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m. at Darlington Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to come together to share memories, celebrate her remarkable life, and remember a woman who left the world a little brighter — and hopefully with one less Team Rocket member causing trouble.

Bambi's family asks that everyone who attends bring their favorite memories, a smile and maybe even their Pokémon Go app. After all, she'd probably want to know if there was a raid nearby.
