A view from the village at Whitefish Mountain Resort on July 14 shows progress on the Big Mountain Fuels Reduction Project.
The Flathead National Forest is conducting 200 acres of phased work, consisting of felling trees and removing vegetation near resort infrastructure.
As of July 18, logging crews were continuing to work around the Wood Lot ski run under Chair 2.
A reroute remains in place on the Danny On hiking trail. The Toni Matt/Benny ski run is open to hikers. Check skiwhitefish.com for the latest updates.
