Whitefish Legacy Partners celebrated the grand opening of the Whitefish Legacy Center on July 15.
The Legacy Center serves as the Legacy Partners' new headquarters, a community gathering space and a hub for outdoor education. The center is located at 855 Beaver Lake Road, about six miles west of Whitefish, and connects to the 55-mile Whitefish Trail system.
Thanks to donors and supporters, Legacy Partners aims to grow its outdoor education capacity at the Legacy Center by constructing an outdoor pavilion in the near future.
The Legacy Center has a Welcome Center, a new trailhead, a pump track, a skills park and a new picnic park with parking.
It will be open Wednesdays 4-8 p.m. and Saturdays 1-6 p.m., from July 15 – Sept. 30.
