Police Calls: Fireworks begin days early

July 2

Reportedly, a man drinking coffee in the shad near a white van made people scared to enter the location on Baker Avenue.

An amicable accident occurred at a location on Highway 40 when a Subaru and a Ford collided. Both drivers admitted fault for the accident and no one was injured. 

Drivers of E-motorcycles were counseled on their reckless driving on streets, sidewalks and bike paths. 

Someone reported having a wallet stolen from their car. 

Transients were advised to stop harassing pedestrians. They understood and said they’d calm down for the night. 

A loud dirtbike was driving up and down the road at 9:40 p.m. 

Fireworks were set off on Park Avenue. Fireworks were also heard on Iowa Avenue, where the suspects were advised of the city ordinance. 

The upstairs neighbors on Colorado Avenue were advised to keep the noise down after they were heard having a party. 

Someone on Crestwood Drive was setting off fireworks. 

July 3

The caller reported having their license plate removed from their vehicle. 

A female was cited for a handicap parking violation at a location on Baker Avenue. 

A male exited his Cadillac near City Hall and urinated against the wall of the building. 

Twenty-three traffic stops were made today. 

A beagle reported lost was found. 

A dog was spooked on East First Street and ran out of his front yard. 

A verbal disturbance at a location on Central Avenue involved about 10 people. 

Fireworks were reported on Wisconsin Avenue,  

Reportedly, fireworks were being set off by intoxicated people on West Third Street and Karrow Avenue. 

An angry male locked himself in a vehicle and the car alarm sounded when another male banged on the windows on Central Avenue. 

Fireworks were reported on West Third Street.
