A political yard sign took a beating when someone pushed it over, bending it, but left it staked in the lawn. Later that night, someone yanked the bent sign out of the resident's lawn and chucked it in the driveway. Kalispell Police Department officers noticed a small 2-foot sign was still intact in the yard.

A man reportedly stormed over to a residence and pounded on the door yelling about his weed. A woman let him inside to look for it and went to her room where she fell asleep. She got a rude awakening when he allegedly hosed her with bear spray and poured paint on the floor. He took off with the bear spray and she bolted outside to hide behind a fence, thinking he was still inside the house.

A fully bearded man donning the summer uniform of T-shirt, shorts and flip flops was allegedly "skip scanning" store merchandise at a self-checkout register. When employees intervened, the would-be thief made a run for it, leaving everything behind.

A woman allegedly showed up on a construction site and asked a man what he was doing with a skid steer, muttering about a mutilated child before walking back to her fifth wheel. Uncomfortable with the suspicious info she provided, he called the police.

A caller was reportedly evasive with a dispatcher's questions and kept asking them to send someone, mentioning she was cooped up in her house. Officers arrived to check on her welfare and saw her lying on the couch smoking a cigarette through the window in the company of two large German shepherds. She told them to come inside but that she couldn't open the locked door.

Officers pulled a vehicle over that didn't have its headlights on at 10:30 p.m. During the stop they smelled alcohol emanating from the vehicle. The driver said they were leaving a music festival where they had a few drinks earlier in the day.

A man called police with questions about shooting arrows within city limits, complaining that a neighbor was doing such activity and coming onto his property. He told an officer he had video he wanted them to review for potential criminal charges.

Nails were strewn on a road that turned onto the bypass. An officer picked up a majority of the nails which were melting into the asphalt. The street department was notified.

A man reportedly called police back regarding a previous report of someone siphoning gas, telling officers that it turned out the person was a neighbor who was siphoning gas out of his own vehicles.

The driver of a silver Jeep Rubicon hauling a dirtbike needed to review the rules of the road after they wouldn't let a vehicle merge.

Someone whose car was reportedly egged called the police to check what else might have been hit.
