Woman identified in fatal House of Mystery accident

The woman killed in a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 2 July 15 has been identified as Brylee Beck, 22, of Martin City.

At about 9:03 a.m., Beck was eastbound on the highway in her Jeep Wrangler when it went off the right side of the road into a gravel turnout.

She struck a mailbox, re-entered and crossed the highway and struck an embankment. The vehicle rolled and Beck, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected. The vehicle struck a tree as well. The accident occurred just west of the House of Mystery. Beck was dead on arrival at the hospital, according to the Montana Highway Patrol report.

Speed was considered a factor in the crash. Roads were clear and dry at the time.
