Raptors power past Range Riders

Jake Millan homered and drove in three runs, but the Ogden Raptors collected 21 hits in a 14-6 Pioneer League victory over the Glacier Range Riders on Friday night at Glacier Bank Park.
Ogden (34-24, 5-5 in the second half) scored in seven different innings and broke the game open with three-run frames in the fourth and sixth. The Raptors led 6-2 after four innings before extending the advantage to 11-2 through six.
Glacier (31-27, 2-8) got on the board in the third when Carson Hornung ripped a two-run double to left, scoring Carson Garner and Donovan Ratfield. An Ogden error brought home another run in the sixth before Millan's three-run homer in the seventh cut the deficit to 11-6. It was his 10th longball of the season.
Ratfield finished 3 for 3 to lead the Range Riders, while Hornung and Jacob Steele each doubled.
Colson Lawrence went 3 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs for the Raptors, while Carmine Lane finished with four RBIs. Chase Valentine, Dylan Wilkinson and Garrett Bevacqua had three-hit games.
Cole Cressend took the loss after allowing six runs on 10 hits in 3 1/3 innings. Jose Ballista earned the win, giving up three runs, two earned in six innings.
The three-game series resumes Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
