SANDPOINT — Smiles were abundant as the University of Idaho men's basketball team delivered a two-hour crash course for the youth of North Idaho at Sandpoint High School on Thursday.

The co-ed event featured the Vandals' head coach, Alex Pribble, and their 2026 roster, making the trip to Sandpoint to run five different drills with the kids. After dividing the kids into small groups, the Idaho squad worked them through various drills to practice the basics of basketball.

Each group of kids worked their way through five drills, including a defensive 1-on-1 clinic and shooting practice. At the dribbling exercise, the joy was infectious with participants grinning as they sprinted from the half-court line and back or tried to avoid Vandal players during the ending game of dribble knockout.

Following the drills, the Vandals conducted a short team practice before signing autographs for the attendees.
