Range Riders power past Raptors

Kyle Ashworth hit a go-ahead double in the sixth inning and Carson Garner added a two-run homer for insurance in the seventh as the Glacier Range Riders defeated the Ogden Raptors 9-6 Sunday at Glacier Bank Park. 

Brock Vradenburg provided an early spark for Glacier, hitting a two-run shot in the first inning. His sixth homer of the season. 

Andrew Collins added a two-RBI double in the fourth before Ashworth hit a two-run single in the same frame to give Glacier a 6-1 lead. 

Ogden tied the game in the sixth as Cole Jordan blasted a grand slam over the left field wall to tie the game at six. 

Ashworth quickly broke the tie in the bottom half before Garner secured the win in the seventh with his eighth big fly this year. 

Aidan Elfering went five-plus innings in the start for Glacier, allowing four runs on seven hits. Jacob Hasty earned the win with 1 1-3 innings of one-hit relief, fanning two. 

Glacier now heads to Boise for a six-game set with the Hawks starting Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.
