Krantz went 6 for 8 with three RBIs and a run scored for Coeur d'Alene in the 11U state championship series and also struck out 13 in six innings, allowing two hits to West Valley in the series at Croffoot Park in Hayden. "Mason's performance on the field this weekend was incredible," Coeur d'Alene coach Bret Everson said. "His timely hitting and willingness to compete on the mound was special, but what stood out to our coaching staff was his selflessness. He's hard on himself, but even under the pressure of the state championship, he was constantly encouraging his teammates."
