The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), along with construction partner Riverside Contracting, Inc., return to work on U.S. Highway 93 south of Ravalli from July 30 to Aug. 1. Crews are applying a seal and cover (chip seal) from 6 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

The project extends from north of White Coyote Road, north of Arlee at mile marker 20, to Holt Dr., mile marker 26.7 in Ravalli.

According to a MDT press release, applying a chip seal after micro surfacing the road improves skid resistance and extends the service life of the highway. Crews will return in 30-45 days to apply the final epoxy pavement markings.

When traveling through the project corridor, motorists should expect single-lane traffic, traffic signals, pilot cars and delays of up to one hour. For the most up-to-date information regarding road conditions, visit mdt.mt.gov/travinfo/.
