A suspected home invasion in Marion on Monday afternoon remains under investigation, authorities say.
A homeowner called 911 at 2:53 p.m., July 27 to report that an intruder had entered their home on the 1000 block of Homesteader Way, according to Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino.
About five minutes before officers arrived, the homeowner grabbed their firearm from the living room and went outside, but lost sight of the suspect, Heino said.
Seven deputies from the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, a K-9 and a drone operator arrived on scene at 3:17 p.m. Authorities secured a perimeter around the home while deploying the drone and K-9 unit.
Authorities were unable to locate the suspect, Heino said. He added that investigators found no evidence of a burglary at the scene.
