CLIMATE: Consider our children’s future

Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 2 weeks AGO

This letter is in response to many letters to the Press with various opinions regarding climate change. How about a universal reason and common-sense goal that crosses party lines and deals with the big picture and the bottom-line regarding our children’s common future.

Global population reached eight billion in 2022. One billion people were added in the previous ten years. Five billion people suffer life on 10 dollars a day. The United States has the communications, contraception technology, assets and organizations needed to ask our global brothers and sisters to unite now with a realistic goal of ending overpopulation, along with the pollution, trillion-dollar war-between-people budget, wars between people, survival migration, famine and extinctions that comes with overpopulation.

This November Americans have two choices at the polls. One party is the pro-contraception, give people and peace a chance party. The other party is the anti-contraception, give overpopulation, pollution, trillion-dollar war-between people budgets, wars between people, survival migration, famine and extinctions a chance party.

When the wondrous alternatives to the entwined people-crippling factors of overpopulation and humankinds trillion-dollar war-between-people budget becomes the topic of the day, and the fuel for the dreams, goals and hopes of humankind, a united, free, clean and hopeful world will be in sight for all the children of humankind.
