Dinner Under the Stars fundraiser returns to Shared Harvest Community Garden
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 2 weeks AGO
Shared Harvest Community Garden will host a Dinner Under the Stars fundraiser from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Aug. 22, at 1004 E. Foster Ave., Coeur d’Alene, marking the event's return after a three-year hiatus.
Guests will enjoy dinner prepared by Collective Kitchen, a no-host bar provided by Backwoods, live music, a silent auction, a live auction and a paddle raise.
Tickets are $75 per person or $600 for a table of eight, and only 225 tickets are available.
“We’re really excited to be able to host this event again,” Vice President Michael Lee said. “The space is beautiful at night, and everyone always has such a great time.”
Held beneath the garden's century-old oak and maple trees, the event also celebrates the work of community garden volunteers who maintain the property and help produce more than a ton of fresh vegetables each season for Father Bill's Kitchen, a community dining hall operated by St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho that provides free meals, showers and laundry services to people in need.
The fundraiser will help support the eventual purchase of the garden property from its current owner, ensuring the long-term use of the community space.
