BOISE, Idaho — Ryan Recio started and ended an eight-run rally with RBI singles and he, Jacob Sisto and Michael O'Hara homered as the Boise Hawks doubled up the Glacier Range Riders 12-6 in Pioneer League baseball Thursday.
The score was 2-1 before the Hawks (8-6 this half) sent 14 players to the plate in the third inning. John Pyle led off with a double and came in on Recio's single; he added an RBI groundout that made it 9-1, and Recio made it 10-1 with the third of his three hits. He hit a two-run home run in the first inning.
Sisto's home run, a three-run shot, came in that big third inning; O'Hara hit a two-run homer in the fourth that made it 12-1.
Brody Capps doubled twice for the Range Riders (4-10), and Jake Millan had a double plus a two-run single. Jacob Steele also hit a double for Glacier.
The teams played a doubleheader on Friday, to make up for Wednesday's game that was postponed because of unhealthy air.
