Richard Duval (Jonsey) Jones, 74

Our son, father, husband and friend passed peacefully at home July 9, 2026. Born to Hank (Henry) and Freda (Gray) Jones on April 3, 1952. 

The third child of nine children, Ricky was always filled with love and adventure. Starting at Hecla Mining at 18, Ricky finished his career at 67 at Stillwater in Montana.

Ricky, Uncle "Icky," My Jones, Jonsey, was loved by many as the Teller of Stories, the singer of songs and a heart of gold. Fishing, hunting, cribbage and boondocking in nature were the adventures that made his soul happy. 

He will be missed by so many, but also greeted by many. With love and grace, may your next adventure fulfill every dream that we couldn't complete together. Goodbye, my love ... get the coffee started; I'll be there soon enough!

Ricky was preceded in death by his father and mother, grandparents and brother Greg Jones. 

Ricky is survived by his daughter, Leslie (Jones) Hall; stepchildren Katherine Ward (Winn) and Richard Winn; grandchildren Brooklynn P. Hall and Emma R. Winn. Brothers and sisters Karen (Jones) Snow, Cynthia (Jones) Brackett, Steve Jones, Robert Jones, Diana (Jones) Hosking, Matt Jones, and Marta (Jones) Arthurs; a passel of nieces and nephews that always loved having him around the campfire, along with all the spouses, and his wife and partner for the last 32 years. Breathe easy, baby!
