AMERICA: Fading ideals
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 1 month AGO
The U.S. has fallen to its lowest ebb in respect and admiration by the rest of the planet in its 250 year history. It is apparent that a sizable majority of U.S. citizens feel the same way.
Foreign and domestic policy blunders, along with combative — and all too often, profane — language and rhetoric are now the norm. Our allies are inundated with constant criticism, insults and threats and they are drifting away.
The U.S. now touts its military strength by starting wars stupidly and illegally; killing thousands of innocent men, women, and yes, children.
What is truly amazing is that this has all been “accomplished” in a year and a half! Imagine what this crew and his sycophants can accomplish in the next two-and-a-half years!
Billions of dollars for never-ending wars (looks like Cuba will be the next ‘lucky’ participant), thousands of U.S. citizens cut off health insurance and other critical assistance, plus an economy in steep decline.
Please think deeply about the following “accomplishments” and the total result of each: Billionaires slashing government, the experience of Cabinet officials, the Big Beautiful Bill, ICE, bombing small vessels and occupants, Venezuela, illegal tariffs, war with Iran (our leader tore up a workable agreement negotiated without a war, now apparently would settle for similar documents), the economy and building gaudy, very expensive monuments to himself.
It is incumbent on Congress to do the difficult but necessary thing. Save and restore our country. Impeach.
