Probe finds bottom of cup at Whitefish GC

Jason Probe shot a hole-in-one on May 29 at Whitefish Lake Golf Club.

Probe used an 8-iron to ace the 176-yard No. 15 on the South Course. Witnesses were Jeff Morgan, Kevin Toth and Kyle Jeworski. 


Whitefish GC ace for Bry

On May 28 Eric Bry used an iron to ace No. 16 on the South Course at Whitefish Lake GC. 

The shot covered 135 yards and was witnessed by Kali Willie and Josh Chappel. 


Wilde 32nd at West regional

Erin Wilde of Whitefish finished 32nd in the high jump at the NCAA West Regional track and field championships Saturday in Fayetteville, Arkansas, her final competition as a Montana Grizzly. 

The four-time Big Sky Conference outdoor champion and three-time indoor champ cleared 5 feet, 9.25 inches. It was her best peformance in four regional appearances. 

“Erin jumped the highest that she’s jumped at the regional meet in her career,” Montana coach Doug Fraley said. “We’re so proud of everything that she’s accomplished and all that she has done for our program.”  

The winning height was 6-1.5, and was cleared by 12 competitors. 

Pole vaulter Kevin Swindler became just the second Grizzly since 2019 to advance to the National Championships starting Wednesday in Eugene, Oregon, by clearing17-7.25 in the rain Saturday.
