PASCO — The Sandpoint Sharks swim team went up against several Pacific Northwest teams from the Greater Seattle Area as well as a handful of local teams as they competed in their second long course meet of the summer season May 29-31 at Memorial Pool.
"After the difficult loss of a fellow Shark, the team showed remarkable strength and unity," Sandpoint Sharks head coach Emily Renzini said, referring to the recent loss of community member McCoy Jensen. "They swam for him all weekend, and it was evident in their effort, determination, and support for one another. I am incredibly proud to coach this team. They continue to show what it means to be a family, supporting each other both in and out of the pool, working hard, and representing the Sharks with pride."
